In this blog post, we'll discuss additional TV shows that you should start watching, because which teen (or anyone, for that matter) doesn't enjoy settling in to watch some TV after a long day?
If you’re into drama and romance stories, you’ll love Pangako Sa 'Yo! This Filipino TV series revolves around 2 families: The Buenavistas and the Macaspacs, and specifically the romance between Yna Macaspac and Angelo Buenavista. The original version was released in 2002, but the series was remade in 2015. Both versions of Pangako Sa 'Yo have been highly acclaimed throughout the world, and are available to stream on Amazon prime as well as other streaming platforms.
2. South Africa- Young, Famous, and African
“Young, Famous, and African” is a reality show giving watchers an inside look into the careers, lives, and romances of some of Africa’s most prominent celebrities and figures across different industries, including entertainment and fashion. Some of the celebrities featured on the show include Diamond Platnumz, a Tanzaninian musician, Nadia Nakai, a South African rapper/songwriter, and Annie Macaulay-Idibia, a Nigerian actress and model. The show was also the first African show to air on Netflix, and has received positive feedback for its portrayal of African culture and life as well as its entertainment.
3. Argentina- "Go! Vive a Tu Manera" ("Go! Live Your Own Way")
Are you into musicals and dramas? If so, you should watch "Go! Vive a Tu Manera"! This Argentinian TV series tells the story of Mía Cáceres, a talented performer who wins a scholarship to attend the prestigious Saint Mary’s Academy for performing arts. The series also features music and dance which correspond to the storyline and characters’ emotions. Teenagers have been loving the show’s catchy music and entertaining storyline. The show originally aired in 2019, and 2 seasons are currently available to watch on Netflix.
